Why?
Have been running mine for a while, everything is still as it should be.. Taken it through several types of terrain, did some major flexing last trip, as well as driving through semi deep mud. and the only other thing that i can think of is the possibility of leafs flattening. Not trying to argue, just inquiring..

He has also had a number of springs go flat. Also, he has advertised that his parts are powder coated when only painted.

Don't lift your Jeep without extending your brakelines.
Don't weld, grind, drill, sand, or whatever without wearing eye protection.
( Beer Goggles DO NOT count...)
Don't jack your Jeep without wheel chocks.
Don't get under your Jeep unless it's on SAFE jackstands....(or, preferably, a lift.
Don't drink & drive
Don't drive like an *******.

1. Install a K&N Filter on a cold-air intake that is not shielded from engine-bay heat.
2. Change oil/filter and install a FRAM filter with full synthetic oil on a 4.0L w/over 150,000miles.
3. Place a : "If you can read this...I need more mud"
"If you can read this...roll me over"
stickers on the rear window of a "Mall-rig" that will never see a trail or ANY mud.
4. Install the "Roll Me Over" sticker from #3 right-side up. Shows the people behind you in mall traffic that you are an idiot.
5. Spend an outrageous amount of money to outfit your XJ with items that you will NEVER ever use just because they "look cool"

^ I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure that's not doing you any good. Here's how to fix it. Measure the inner diameter(ID) of the rubber hose you shoved into that cone filter. Write that down. Then measure from where that hose stops, out your driver side fender, and up the A pillar to about, while contouring to the fender about to the top of the windsheild. Write that down. Be sure to make notes of what degree angles are used to make bends (90, 45, etc..) make sure the last piece at the top of the windsheild is very close outer diameter(OD) as the ID of your cone filter. Write everything down!! Go to your friendly neighborhood home depot and purchase the required pieces in high quality white PVC pipe. Piece it together in the store so you only have to make one trip. Also buy PVC primer and glue. For asthetics, buy some krylon fusion spraypaint your own desired color. I would go black and tape off zebra stripes because my heep is white. Go home and measure twice, cut once. If your worried about your filter getting wet in the rain, take it with you to the depot and build a housing around it. Be creative. Measure twice cut once!!! Make sure everything is water tight and you now have a cold air intake/ snorkel. Probably for cheaper than an ARB Jobbie
