Unhappy Worth keeping the XJ?

Well this morning i was out with my buddy and we were doing burnouts in the mud. I got out to watch him from a distance and i noticed only one tire spinning. My XJ is only 2x4 and now i see it has no LSD. The mud we were in wasnt anything serious, so i was wondering what could i do to put LSD in. My budget is only $350 for parts and labor and i cant offord the insurance on a 4x4 cherokee. So should i keep the XJ or will it cost too much to but LSD in. I got an XJ so i could do some off road, but with only 1 tire going i cant do crap. If it cost too mutch i might sell it and buy another car. Its a big delema right now.

Holly crap, what insurance you got? My 96 xj is 4x4 and I pay less then 30 bucks. I'm 22 but I didn't think it was that big of difference for age.

The big difference is full versus liability. Also it usually starts to go down over time starting usually around age 26. Other factors that decrease the cost usually are how many vehicles are on the plan and if you are married or not. Anyway, I am 16 and pay roughly 30 a month for just liability on my 4x4 XJ. I had to do my research before buying a vehicle so thats how I know all that crap.

Ive been talkin it over with my parents and they wont let me get a 4x4. We 've talked it over dozens of times when i boutgh this XJ and there like me, stuborn as a mule. So anyone know any good way to get both wheels rollin for under, Ill go $400. theres probably a way, but if there was i figured you all would know. If not im going to be in a grand prix.

I am on my parents plan. There are ways to save a boat load on insurance as a teenager. If your parents own the car you bought you will save a lot. I worked it out so it would be the same 6 month rate for all three of our vehicles whether or not I owned mine or not. It would technically be 30 a month if they owned it but with me owning it it is a bit more but the rate on their vehicles goes way down with me being primary driver on mine. Technically no it is not 30 a month it is more like 60 but the insurance on their cars goes WAY down. I could have worked it out to technically be 30 a month if they owned it. It is all about playing games with the insurance company. For all three of our cars with 2 older cherokees and one 04 suburban with full coverage our 6 month premium is around 700 with me owning my own car.

Also you can get a huge discount if you are a B or higher full time student with just about every insurance company.
