worth it or not?
Thinking about buying another cherokee. Its an 01 with 180,00 miles on it. It was in a small fender bender so needs a new bumper, front clip, grill, and fender. It seems like a lot but you can barely tell there is damage from more than 10 ft. I know the owner and trust that he says it has never had any major issues. He would take $3000. Do you guys think that is too much? Without the damage, pretty sure it would be worth close to $5000.

Assuming everything was in perfect mechanical order, it was rust free, pristine body condition, and had all the bells and whistles I would pay no more than $3000 for it.
Then again I'm as cheap as they come.
For the kind of condition I'm assuming it's in (not bad, not great) I'd offer the guy $1,800 max.

Oh, and that is assuming it doesn't have the bad head. I'm kind of upset with myself that I forgot about that.

With all these horror stories that I've been reading with the heads cracking on 00' and 01' models, I'm staying away from them completely.
