Don't know where your located but there's a 91 Cherokee with 45k miles and a 5 speed for $5000 in glenwood springs colorado. For $7500 you could buy a fully built one and have some change to spare. Not worth it

Lets see...

Cons:

4 banger
Purple
No power windows or locks
Idiot gauges
No cruise control
2 door
Salt Belt vehicle

Pros:

Good body and interior (which may speak to overall maintenance history)
5-speed
NP242 transfer case (pro or con depending on your use)

I'd say it's worth about $2500-$3200. But even if you got it at that price, your still making some compromises that would be expensive to address or overcome later.

I picked mine up for $2650. Even with putting a new motor in it, a lift, a rack, lights, stereo system, new tires, and a HUGE laundry list of replacement parts form Rock Auto (about 60 parts), I only have about $7500 in mine.

I got one in the same condition with the same miles for $4500 with the 4.0 and two years newer. Take your time and keep watching craigslist. When I was looking I would search all craigslist within 400 miles and a nice one owned by an old man who drove it to church only popped up one day. I drove an hour and bought it the next day which was Thanksgiving day. Keep watching that one too, I bet the price will come down.

Hmm kicking myself for passing on a purple 98 2 door, 2wd, 4.0L, AX15, manual everything, zero rust and 160K for $700 with an idle issue. Was for my GF and she didnt want to learn to drive a 5sp the same weekend she drove it 700 miles home. Should of bought it and paid storage fee's for 2 months and tow it back home when I went. Stupid and now she complains about gas mileage with a 01 aw4 4x4 on 32's

If anyone thinks this is a good deal i have a 'make your own mud' kit for $20...just add water!

But seriously, i got a 99 XJ just as clean, with 106K on the odometer for 2800. Yes, 2 doors are hard to come by in Philly, but this price is just crazy. There will be much better deals out there, just wait.

it would definately be worth 7500, as long as there was a treasure chest full of gold coins included in the trunk
