would you trade???

I'd say go for it. When I was looking for a Cherokee, my second choice was a Subaru (Outback - I used to be into the wagons more haha ) Anyway, especially after your explanation, I don't see how it is a question. I'd say do the trade before he changes his mind, make sure the kid takes care of that beauty though! Have some fun with the Subie for the short time being, sell it off, use the money for what you need and buy a nice stock XJ for a cheap price. Use it as a DD until youre financially ready to start modding again, and the process begins all over! But just out of curiosity, put some pics of the WRX up!

Trading for something with half the amount of miles, worth twice as much, and since the XJ is a rig, I'm sure the Subie is twice as nice.
You'd be a fool not to in your situation. I cycle through vehicles VERY quickly and have had some killer deals on my end... But to double your money is a whole new ball game.

i knew after throwing out my reasoning, some of you would understand.
this is one of my favorite xjs i have built, but i can build another.....i kinda want to eventually build a full width 5.2 zj so i can crawl in comfort!!
i am leaning towards doing it, and i can take my deciding. he wont change his mind. he has wanted my jeep since i slapped in the full widths. (i have also built him 5 xj bumpers and a set of sliders now) he would prob take the axles and sell the jeep with all his xj's stuff put back on it. i dont care what he does with it, as it will no longer be mine, and he is my business partner.

soooooo, i have decided to hold onto my jeep until i absolutly have to get rid of it. i went wheeling yesterday and had a great time. after building a million and 1 jeeps, i dont want to build my own again. and doubling my money sounds good on paper, but with the man hours i have in my jeep, the subi comes in second.
i have to say my cherokee has become one of my favorites i have seen or built.....and it will only get better from here!!
looks like i will be back at working 70+ hrs a week. oh well......its a sacrifice i will have to make!! long live my xj!!

You stand to make a profit on the Subby, but you love your XJ. Go with your gut feeling, it's usually the right answer.
