Default Wrecks happen I suppose

Was driving down a neighborhood street when a 16 year old girl in her daddy's Range Rover ran a stop sign and slammed into my 2000 XJ. Luckily she hit me right behind my rear axle so I wasn't flipped or anything. Here are some damage pics

Anyways. The damage is technically fixable except for the fact that my cherokee is being eaten alive by rust from the bottom up. So I'm just going to take my check that I get and buy another instead of having this rust bucket fixed. The adjuster never considered it totaled so I get to keep all my parts I put into that jeep.

Kind of exciting actually.

pics of the girl and her daddys range rover? wonder how it held up since your damage doesnt look half bad for her running a stop sign and all.

Well I don't have any pics of the Range Rover. wish I did cause my rear bumper basically ripped the entire front end of it off. It had to of done quite a bit to their engine. Fluids were leaking all over the place and they couldn't get it into reverse. They had it towed off the scene while I drove home

That realy sucks dude. She was probably text messeging instead of driving. Seems like every young girl a pass these days are looking down at there phone instead of up at the road. Glad to nobody got hurt.

Glad you're okay! Wrecks are never fun, but at last you get to keep the XJ. If you're gonna get a new one, just turn the wrecked one into a trail rig. Or you could sell parts and make some good $$ off of it. If the XJ you get doesn't have the 8.25, do the swap, same with the seats if it's a 94-96 that you end up getting. Anything under a 2000, take the intake manifold off the wrecked one. Or you could go all out and turn it into a Cheromanche! The possibilities are endless with an XJ!

So I ended up getting a little over $3000 for it. Almost positive I will be getting a new Heep. I really really want a 5sp instead of the auto that I have now. This xj was my vehicle to not have a standard tranny and I miss it.

And yes I am fine. And considering the speed at which she hit me (approx 35mph) it could have been a lot worse. I was hit in probably the best place possible. I ended up spinning about 270 degrees.
