lay off ya'll i had my XJ for like 6 months before i new it was a XJ, what does it matter if people dont know it, some people arent mechanically inclined but they should not be put down and ashamed for that, are we all in 4th grade again i mean really come on!!!! its alright dude not everyone on this site is ********E's welcome fellow jeeper!

I didn't know that at the beginning either, but I found out pretty quickly. It is a legitimate question. Don't worry, we laugh at u now like u will laugh at other beginners soon enough.

 

i didn't know for a month until i joined the fourm and thanks to some random dudes post where he called his jeep a cherokee then an xj in the same paragraph i was able to figure it out.

unfortunatly most of the users on here already knew that so us newbies get to play figure out the secret code or get trolled on.

thats ok i told my friend i was going to work on my xj once and he goes "i thought you had a cherokee"?

 

hehe... i told my mechanic that i was gonna bring in my XJ for alignment and he said "oh, you bought a wrangler too?", whereas my wife knew what an XJ is.

 

soooo what if its an 85 wagoneer? it sure looks like an xj... hahaha sorry im new too...

 

it is. that body style from '84-'01 is an XJ. the full size cherokee is not an XJ.

 

If its a small XJ style wagoneer then it's called a Wagoner Limited, If it's full sized it's called a Grand Wagoneer. Some useless knowledge I figured I would pass on.

 

so why the heck didnt they just call it cherokee? must be a chrome package is all i can figure out all the windows are trimmed in chrome thats really the only difference i can see is there anything else?
