Default xj "cruiser"

I was planning on painting my 1990 xj a sky blue like the toyota fj cruiser and i was thinking about even painting the roof white since everyday for the past week has been 105 degrees and i think the white roof would cool down the cabin? what do you guys think

have a feeling everyone is going to say its jeep dont ever make it look anything like anything else

That has potential to look good if done correctly. I'd say go for it, but ultimately it's your vehicle and your decision.

Go for it, man. It's YOUR Jeep. Do with it what you want. I like the color combination and think it'll look fine.

It's your jeep....give it a shot. If you decide you hate it. Shoot the top with the rest of the blue.

I'm in the process of painting my 93 like that. I've been painting with some krylon spray paint.. Bahama sea blue is the color I chose. I ordered some white bed liner for the roof to avoid over-spray stripes and to protect it a little better from whatever I end up putting on the rack. I should be finished with the paint job this weekend and will be posting pictures on my build thread.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be some sort of hybrid between an XJ and a PT Cruiser. Just think of how horrible that would be!

As for the blue with a white top. I think it looks okay on the Toyota. I just don't think it would look as good on a Jeep, though.

I dig the two tone on the FJ. Never really like the blue and white. I do like the yellow and white though. There is a member on here with a yellow XJ with some black armor and I thought it would look pretty cool with a black roof. But we all have different tastes so if you like the blue and white, go for it. Give it an aggressive look with a lift, nice wheels and tires and a rack and it will look cool no matter what you paint it..... its an XJ. I have the steel blue XJ and thought it would look cool with a black roof.

I made this in Paint. Used an image of the Cherokee I had on my computer, and changed the color, took forever, lol. Doesn't look too bad, better than I thought it would.

But this would be really cool :
