I have heard one XJ with dual exhaust with a flowmaster 44 and sounded great! Idk why you guys got your panties so bunched up and don't want to try new stuff.

there is a huge exhaust sticky thread on here that you should read through with plenty of photos and videos. yes people have ran/run(grammar help) dual setups. and it doesn't sound or flow any better than someone with a single outlet. they do offer 10 visual HP though so there is that. You may consider running a larger diameter pipe 2.5" or 3" with a corresponding dual outlet muffler, and just run a dual outlet from there. you will lose ground clearance because there is not a good way to route the exhaust up and above the drive shaft which means you will need to run it under. furthermore trying to route a dual exhaust after the collector will result in uneven lengths of exhaust which could potentially hurt performance. Continue your research and post photos/videos of the result. And FYI don't mention replacing the Cat with anything other than a Cat on here because it will quickly derail a thread considering it is a Federal Crime to eliminate a Cat on ANY XJ.

Let's go with Post 9 and I'll close this thread. How's that?

That way no feelings get hurt, less time gets wasted, and fewer panties get wadded up.
