Blocks will accelerate spring wrap so you are installing an axle wrap kit on your Jeep.
Shackles are the better answer, assuming you don't want like a 3" shackle.
Relocation brackets and shackles are the best option, gives you the best angle and lift height gain.

Nothing. I just tried to give you the best alternative. People usually mean well, but there is a lot of "hear say" information also. Every leaf sprung jeep has axle wrap, OK.
But a long story short 2" blocks are going to be completely fine with no ill effects. I probably install a few sets of blocks a week. We have had 0 problems out of hundreds of sets installed.
Shackles are fine for your application also. I just chose blocks for you because they are a little easier to install.
Again there is nothing wrong with 2" blocks. But on the net there are always issues because of hearsay rather than experience.
This is not a pissing match either way. Shackles will work fine also, they just are not my preference.

A 3" shackle will drastically change your shackle angle. Why I suggested relocators and liger shackles...
Don't know how blocks would be any easier to install? I did new shackles in 45 minutes last fall.
Yes every leaf spring Jeep has axle wrap, why exasperate it anymore with blocks?

Unbolt the leaf spring from the shackle, unbolt the shackle from the unibody, reinstall longer shackles with antiseeze on bolts.

They can be cake. And they can be a nightmare.
Especially if the upper bolt says I ain't budging. Or if you have to torch out the leaf spring bushing.

Bud everyone has exhausted this topic for you. Get a set of shackles and coil spacers, some new hardware (bolts, nuts, etc.,), and a few fans of PB blaster and blast the snot out of the bolts in the rear twice a day for a week and then try and tackle it. Best of luck, Keep Calm and Jeep On brother.
