If your a DIY'er like me, this will pay for itself in as little as 3 1/2 years from fuel savings.

While that is definitely an option as well.

Some people might find it alot easier to keep track of an OBDII engine, from various products that can plug into or read its on-board-diagnostics, easily and while on the fly, going down the road.

I've been wondering why Jeep (Chrysler) never released a North American diesel Cherokee.
If they did it today, with the old XJ body and running gear, they would sell a million, or 3.

message sent - hope they develop an xj coversion package for those who are interested. I bought a 2.5L vm TD as a daily driver because of the fuel prices here in the UK. The diesel makes a big difference. Im getting an average of 28 - 33 mpgs from a 1998 model xj. My 1993 4.0L petrol xj gets about 12mpgs.. and only leaves the drive on special occassions!. Im actually thinking about selling it.. Hope it works out for you.

You definately beat the UK thats for sure. We're sitting around £1.40 a litre right now... theres 5 litres in a gallon, which puts it around £7.00 a gallon (varies a little depending on which part of the country you live in). When you do the currency conversions that equals about $12 a gallon..
