Can look quite good. I'm a fan of this actually: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/1...-bfgs-1169862/

As noted 17" is coming down in price thanks to JKs, either new or the plethora of barely-used

The 17 inch sidebiters are the wrong bolt pattern tho,They are a 5x5 you need 5x4.5 for your xj.

Lots of folks have been using wheel spacers/adapters to solve that issue.

XJ88 was running JK rims.

Lets say I go with a set of 16 or 17s, what tire should I be looking at. I want the look of a beefy mud tire with a decent ride on the streets. Obviously thats a tough combo to come up with but what are my options to get close to that?

I ride with 35's on 18's these Dick Cepek FC2 are considered AT but have a very large row of lugs on the outside and really dig in but ride great on the road. The gap is just as large as my wife's 31" MT's

Yeah it looks huge! Lol... Well I ordered a 3" lift that will be here tomorrow. I dont think I can get 35s in there but maybe 33s...

Im actually starting to think about using the rims I have on now and just throwing some nice tires on them?

Here's a better pic so you can get an idea what 16's on 32's look like close.

That looks great man! I like the rims too, can you get me more info on them? Or do you want to sell yours? Haha

Why do you say that? Or are you just saying there's no way to get 35s on a 3" lift?

I was aiming my post at the guy who posted just before me, not you.

I have 33s on a 3" lift, I'd love 36s if I could keep from breaking stuff.
