what update? I'm still learning how to use it ? Mine is the first one, not the hero 2.... My grandpa and gma got both me and my cousin one so she couldn't afford the hero 2. Does the original have an update?

Mine is the Hero3. There was a card on the box that said an update was required before using. Lots of people are complaining on GoPro's forum, but people are saying you can still use the camera but the wifi won't work. I don't think the Hero2 and earlier have wifi, so you're probably good.
