17 years old, been working since i was 12. bought my jeep xj wen i was 16 and have paid for literally everything, truck, insurance, gas, registration, repairs, lift, wheels, tires, exhuast, sound system, the list goes on... ive also done all the work myself.I now work two jobs just so that i have plenty of money to throw at my jeep. Although i work a lot more then your average 17 year old its nice to know that ive earned everything i have and its also nice being that kid whos always got stacks in his pocket

bought mine when i was 17 and got screwed but never once asked my parents for money just my stepdads time when i needed someone that knew more then me but i payed 5400 for the jeep and including that it has been 11,000 dollars into it with all the mishaps. i thought buying a lifted jeep was like buying anything else well i was way wrong and didnt know what i was getting into so in the first few months of having it i pretty much alomost put a new lift on it with the lift only being 4 months old new trans all new brakes (wish i would have done the disk brake conversion) and plenty other things that all added up but never once have i ever asked my parents for a penny towards my jeep but my stepdad on the other hand has asked me before to help him pay for parts for his bronco and i think that is said just bc i have a full time job and he owns his own business that wasnt doing so well at the time. so i am 20 now and i am just starting with the mods i want to do

Yea after I flipped my first one they didn't really want to get a second one cause it settled the flip easy argument in their eyes. But I pointed it out that I flipped it and nobody got injured (4 other people in the jeep) and all I had to do was change a flat tire and I was able to drive home it 7 miles back home. They settled and now I'm paying off both xjs now cause when my first flipped I only had it for 2 weeks lol

how the hell do all of you have a rolled story i have had only one chance at rolling and i was going 55mph around a curve and the bus behind me moved over a second b4 i did and its front got in my blind spot and the guy in front of me hit his brakes and didnt see and i yanked it to avoid hitting him and i got it up on two wheels on the driver side slapped it into neutral (didnt know i did it i always have my hand on the shifter i have a auto box) and then jumped on to the passenger side and ended on the side of the road slamming on the brakes to avoid hitting a light pole. but i have a reason for that problem have no sway bars on front or rear and that tought me a huge lesson that if you want to make quick turns of the wheel DONT do it in a jeep.

Lol apparently a lot of kids don't know how to drive on here.

Also, another lesson is to put your sway bars back on! At least the front one. They are there for a reason, if they didn't do anything, the jeep wouldn't have them.

Mine fishtailed in the pouring rain making a left turn with bald tires. The rear tires swung out and went into a ditch I reacted and cut the wheel hard to the right and ended up doing a 180 and flipped into the ditch. Ended up in the ditch facing oncoming traffic. It flipped on its side and hit a little hill on the other side of the ditch and that bounced it right back onto its wheels

Lol I learned in a 1998 Mazda Millenia Supercharged.... It was a dream in terms of ride and handling since it was $40k car when new. Put steering links cost $600, IAC valve was $1,000 dealer only part, S'charger cost $2,200 when it went out, exhaust manifold replacement was $700, etc. you had to take the supercharger and hell load of vac lines and tubing just to do a tuneup.
