Just curious, but does anyone know the cutoff production date to where the 0331 heads started being installed in the 2000 model year???
Are you sure soneone didn't already change the head? I thought coil-pack 2000's came with the 0331 head. I also thought the transition from 0630 with distributor and 0331 with coil pack took place in later '99's.

I purchased it from the original owner and he told me at the time it was the original engine/trans. My Manufacture date is 8/99.

I guess the original owner should know. I didn't think the 630 head had the threaded bosses for the coil pack mounting, but I've been wrong before. Anyway, you have the better cylinder head if you have the 630. Mine was built in 5/99 and has the distributor and the 630 head.

They only crack when the engine gets overheated. If its never been overheated, its fine...I drove the hell outa my 2000, sold it beat up, cut up on 31s for 2300. It was rough!
