Gotta keep the noise and gas consumption down to remain my DD but the plan is an ultra reliable "weekend warrior" leaning towards the expedition style rig. I want my XJ to be one of those vehicles you'll see still on the road in twenty years.

I plan on having my XJ for a very, very long time as well! That will be a challenge, living in Pennsylvania. Luckily my new apartment has a nice garage that she'll be living in when I'm not out having fun

I'm aiming for outstanding engine performance as well as unmatched off road capability while maintaining good road manners. I also like to keep this a semi budget build while still doing it right the first time

You're definitely looking for Cherokee there damn reliable ! Most part stores have a lot of parts for them right over the counter! Cherokees real easy to work on all it takes is torches hack saw blades a couple pints of blood and hella lot of patience but you always feel like you met the challenge when you get back on the road!!!
