Do the ZJ front seats bolt right in or did you have to modify?

EDIT: Did some searching an answered my own question, that's now on the list for my 01!!

For sure a good thread. Want to change my headliner out soon and do something a little different, and also do the LED swap in the cluster, shifter, and T-case shifter.

has anyone installed one of the flush mount 8" subwoofer kits that are available for the RR quarter panel? just wondering if the sound is worth it. not looking for sound heard from down the block or to shake the car next to me just looking for some solid low end sound? and maybe some pics if available

I'm not sure about any kits available, but I've seen it done many times. Worth searching for and reading about because I have read mixed reviews. Here is something related.

No just recover it in the fabric of your choice.

It's really hard to see in this pic. What I did was rip down the falling down headliner and took a stiff nylon brush to the glued on foam stuff. What you end up with is a bare roof that looks like fiberglass. Looks good to me. Just installed a new radio and four good sony speakers. Sounds great but have been thinking about a sub woofer.

Hey slowjunk, are those speakers over the rear seats? Those front seats look comfy.

I put a WJ in mine. Looks smoother than the ol' T handle & matches the transfer case shifter nicely.

yes they are speakers but only 5.25" at the time i thought the speakers would bounce around with no middle support in the sound bar, but the sound bar pretty stable with 5.25". i have another sound bar off '98 i think im going to swap to that one and play around if the 6x9 will fit. if not i'll settle for 6.5" .

yup the zj seats pretty comfty they power and sit higher than the xj. the driver side is pretty tight fit. i had to trimmed out the xj seat belt cover trim on the lower bottom so the zj power seat cover can move freely when sliding back. it's pretty simple job on the front seats. the back seats you going to have to do some work to make it fit. the write up was confusing. i figured it out how to make the seat fit but i don't like how mine turn out. if you going to have adult sitting in the back seat there's not lot of legs room for them. kids, midgets, or dogs probably ok

yea i did a search the second after i posted it and found some good ideas. i found someone who installed a 6.5" sub so now i'm thinking about putting two of those in in the sound bar and installing another sound bar like a poster demonstrated in here. the sound bar would have to be a solid sealed enclosure though to make it work right but they sell speaker "cushions" (look like foam bowls) that you can install behind the speaker to get better response out them.

3M spray adhesive works very well dries clear.
