I've heard that older model cherokees handle lifts better. I don't really want to have to do anything other than the lift kit. Should I just get the lift and install it before i buy sye/tc drop/driveshaft?

In my opinion yes. Because you may not need any of that. I prefer degree shims on the rear axle to an sye. or tc/drop kit.

With only 3.5in shims will work fine. I am just over 4 and just run shims..

Sweet thanks for the info.

Hopefully within the next month I'll have new tires and the 3.5" superflex RE lift.

Or the Mickey MTZ

Or maybe Toyos

I would go MTZs, they lasted a long time for me and did way better in every weather condition. I had the claws their good but the MTZs out do them in my opinion if your ever going to be on the road

And the open country's are good but the MTZs cycled alot better( didn't get clogged up)

Never ran those but had some buddies who did, their good tires, my personal preference is either mtz or the wrangler mtrs, I'm runnin the mtrs now and I don't know if I like them more than the MTZs but their both very good tires

My vote is 4.5'' with 33s.dont do rough country whatever you do. I'd recommend Rubicon Express and order it from Serious Offload who is a vendor here. Then down the road get a long arm upgrade.

I bought some toyo mt yesterday and took it out to a 4x4 park today. It handled everything i threw at. I did some stuff in 2wd that i had to do in 4wd with my bald tires.
