Default adding a leaf in rear. Yes or No?

Hey guys,
I have a 98 4 door xj with a 6 inch rustys long arm lift plus coil spacers in the front and shackles in the rear.
The rear rides a little lower than the front, which is fine the way it is. The problem is if I add any weight in the jeep then it becomes excessive.

If I were to add a leaf in the rear, do you think that it would help my situation?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

Why not remove the spacers up front? A cargo area full of stuff shouldn't sag the suspension a hugely noticeable amount.

Yes, if your current leaf packs are in good shape, the AAL will help to disperse the extra load.

New full leaf packs are best. Its not a good idea but you could add like a 1" leveling blacks temporarily.

Just remove the coil spacers. You would need a 6" aal to do it. Dont know if they even go that big

Just curious why are you running that much lift? 6.5" kit plus spacers? I would Remove Spacers as I would want my COG lower.

For your situation, a .5" to 1" block is not a bad option, but with that much lift you'll be flexing a lot because why else are you running that much lift. This will induce a lot of axle wrap and you'll probably through said block.

You've already got shackles so that's a no go.

Add-A-Leaf = Rough Suspension and less flex

Sounds like you need a new to lower the front or get a whole new leaf Spring Pack.

Thanks for the input.
The guy before me added the lift and he did some fairly serious offroad adventures in it.
I am just checking my options. I should probably remove the ACOS spacers from the front but it really doesn't drive that bad for what it is.

Are the ACOS adjusted to the minimum height?

Adding a leaf could and will likely help your problem. It will add more spring rate helping your load carrying but at the cost of lowered flex. The trouble you will probably face is finding the right leaf to add. When playing or modifying leaf packs it ends up being trial and error. I would not look at an aftermarket AAL but instead a leaf from an xj dakota or s10 depending on center pin size. Gluck.
