I thought that also. But he does have a ton of fall from the cowl to the air box. And crap is definitely in the tube.

On the second trip the op showed a picture of the top of the air box. It was horrible! Lot of dirt got through. Means the air filter most likely was soaked.

Op you will destroy your rings if you keep sucking dirt in. Just a fair warning.

The filter is fine.. What you are seeing with the top inside airbox is from when I swamped it with the stock intake. I just didn't clean it after I did the snorkel. I do have some wet spots on the filter. Mainly in the cowl pipe side.

Yeah. I'm getting water coming in from the mounting bolts. I've siliconed the crap out of them but still get water. I'm thinking about moving the intake to the passenger side. But need to rework plans that I have. I got a few ammo boxes that I'm going to use. One as a airbox and the others will house my electronics. (ECU,FUSEBOX..ect...)

I'm running a custom cowl intake to my pass side that I made into an H1 snorkel. Copied it from my H1 at home. Ran it right to my stock box and used the stock filter. No problems with it at all and if sealed correctly, you could run into water to your mirrors and be alright.
