With NO trimming... probably not. Well, there probably wouldn't be a whole lot of suspension travel.

Why is everybody so against trimming metal?

I think they are concerned about the fact that the quarters are permanent cuts that was my issue until five minutes ago when I decided to do it anyway haha

Good answer.

33s on 3.5" will require minor trimming. This is with the flares removed and about 3/4" of sheet metal removed:

I'm not really scared of trimming, I just know that I'd personally **** it up.

For me personally I like the look of the stock flares. They add just the right amount of depth to an otherwise flat/boxy design. Removing the flares, IMO, makes the XJ look like a late-80's bronco...the little one.

...and the massive bushwacker flares are just too over the top for my taste. I wouldn't mind trimming if there was a flare that looked like stock with just a slightly larger wheel well profile.

Definitely agree with that... Love the stock flare look but it just doesn't give you enough room. They really should just make thinner bushwackers that are closer to stock, I know I'd buy em

You can relocate the factory flare higher after you trim. It's fairly common.

How so? Just redrilling new holes and moving it up? Because my flares barely reach the rocker without a lot of force and it's stock

Looks good, glad I have a 2 door so I don't have to mess with the rear doors.

I've seen that but the body lines won't match up on the lower quarters...
