Thanks man, I don't know what my xj has on it now, it's sitting on 32"s. I think it's a 4" lift but I'm not sure. I haven't had it only for about a month.

Isnt a caster angle adjuster there for.. adjusting the caster angle? lol
Who had problems with the IRO long arms?
Just wondering because I was looking into those

Just do some searching..
Yea it's for caster adjustment...what else would it be for?

Guess what holds your axle in place with that kit...
1 10 mm bolt. That is it.

Honestly, that kit is plenty strong for most of CF. I won't personally buy it because of that caster adjustment setup (because I'd rather save up and spend more on something way stronger than I'll ever need), but IRO's setup isn't necessarily weak. How much force is really on that bolt?

I'd think the biggest chance of failure on that bolt would be a head-on collison at a decent speed between the axle and something unforgiving (ie big-*** rock)...in which case that one bolt would be the least of your concerns.

All of it...

When hard braking there's a TON of force on that bolt.

I assume you're talking about the single upper control arm bolt. Clearly no where near 1 ton or all of the weight is on that bolt. It's way further from the center of force than the 2 LCA bolts.

You're right. What was I thinking?

The IRO long arm '3 link' is by far the most superior set-up on the market.

I plan to sell my RK 3 link and buy the IRO '3-link' as soon as I can.

You're annoyed I made an unsubstantiated comment in reply to your unsubstantiated comment?

My comment was backed up by common sense.

Your comment was backed up by "I sure hope for my life that the bolt doesn't break."

I'm sure Chrysler designed the stock suspension to use 2 10mm bolts for a reason.

Maybe not.

Nobody is saying that, but the bad reputation seems to me to be an exaggeration. I've never personally heard complaints from anyone who runs their Critical Path lifts. I haven't gone out of my way to look, but I haven't seen them pop up.

As I said before, I wouldn't use it because of that inherent weakness. It isn't as strong as some other LA setups because of that caster setup, but I would still say it's adequate for most people on here. The price is tough to beat, too.

Sorry, corrected. Auto correct kept making that a lot of different words, and I was satisfied when it was something related to alignment lol
(I got it right earlier! )
