I've been doing some research and I'm torn between 3" to 4.5" lift. I'm curious though, if I got over 3" is there anything I need to do in terms of trac bar, pitman arm, etc? I'm looking to try and achieve this kinda look in terms of lift height and tire size that is in this pic. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! :P
There's much more. Things you'll Need for 4.5 but not 3(though I'd recommend a few) : upper control arms, slip-yoke eliminator, rear driveshaft, track bar, extended brake lines.

Those are something you might have to buy. I have 4.5" without a SYE or drive shaft. Just do the lift first and see if you need it. Or you can add them anyway. I'm considering it even though I don't need to.

Another one you might need is extended parking brake lines. You don't hear much about this. Often the axle will be hanging on the parking brake line and it might not be noticed. I just did the YJ swap on mine and it was pretty easy and cheap. If I can do it then anybody can.

Yes I know this. This is why I'm asking advice on longer brake line s that require minimal to no mods

Just keep stock shackles?

Just to be clear, you mean the parking brake lines. My kit is the RE 4.5 and it was borderline. You probably won't need to.

Default Towing and price are main concerns

I have a stock 2001 XJ, will be towing a 2500lb boat trailer. The rear already sags compared to the front. Is something like this worth considering? Lift is not a concern because I have 80% good tires now and no money to replace with larger

I'd replace the rear leafs with non saggy ones from the junkyard, adding a lift isn't the proper fix

X2. Heavy duty leaf springs with good shocks. I'd also recommend a transmission cooler and a rear disc brake conversion.

Hey guys...does this look like a transfer case drop? Just crawled under the jeep to start pb blasting the bolts for the upcoming lift and noticed this didn't look right. I assume the TC crossmember mounts flush to the frame rails, this looks like about .75" worth of shims between the crossmember and frame.

If this is a TC drop then I'm guessing my "stock" jeep has bee previously lifted...and returned to stock. If that's the case, maybe my bolts will come off a little easier, haha...

If not, I'd venture to say that your rear fender flares aren't going to come home on the side of the Jeep.

Stance looks great tho.

Actually they barely rubbed, I am running stock back spacing so the tires tuck up in the wheel wells. I am going to get some wheel spacers so as insurance i cut an rolled the back wheel wells and took about 1" off the front. Now i just need to remount the fenders.

Yup, stock the crossmember bolts right to the unibody rail.
