I am doing a 3.5 " kit on my 1993 XJ. here is the kit:
http://www.4wheelparts.com/aux_incl/...UL&w=400&h=400

The kit says to run 32/1150's on it. I work in the wheel and tire industry and there are no real options in that size. So my question is does anyone in here have a 3.5" lift running 33s? Did you have to trim anything? any info will be greatly appreciated!

You'd probably have to trim to run 32's on a 3.5" lift anyhow...just not as much. I'm going to run 32's on my 4-4.5" lift, should have very minor trimming to do (just on the flares probably).

I had the same issue looking for 32" tires. I decided to get 16" wheels and got 265/75R16 (32x10.5). Tires are a bit more costly but I got a heck of a lot more to choose from.

If you use extended bump stops you can do it.

Sweet. Thanks for the info guys!! I was gonna run 17" wheels because I can get a set for free. Maybe I can see what i can get in 16" for a better price on the tires. Thanks!!

265/70R17 would be a 32" on the 17" wheels...

Be careful, 17" are VERY expensive. Might no be worth the free wheels...

15's are the cheapest and the most options i think, i would either go with 31"s or 33"s. youll have to trim for 33's.

I've got a 2000 sport. After doing a lot of reading on this post a 3" lift with 31s should be perfect for me. I plan on doing some weekend wheelin along with highways during the week. My small tires are fine for now
http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html
That's the lift I'm looking into. Just wondering what furthrr mods i may have to do to get a smooth ride and to not worry about anything breaking
Thanks in advance for the help

I have 3.5" of lift and 33x12.50 on 15x8 wheels. I had to trim the fenders and add bumpstops. Look at the first two photos in the "my garage" thing on my profile.

3.5 and 33s with a little fender trimming and a few extra inches of bumpstop. It works great.
