What about all terrain tires? We all basically agree its hard to go wrong with a km2 super swamper Kevlar wrangler etc. but what are the best all around at tires for moderate road use light rocks medium sand and a good bit of shallow hard bottomed mud?

Alright, what LCA and TB do you suggest?

I personally recommend Iron Rock Offroad for pretty much everything except their long arm lift kit. They have good prices, strong products, and excellent customer service. We also get a discount now if you tell them you're a member of Cherokee Forum.

I ran their Double Shear Track Bar on my old Cherokee, and I'll be buying another when I lift my Comanche. I currently use their LCAs, and I know some people running their OTK Steering setup. No complaints.

Kinda wonder how many people on here that talk **** about RC have actually bought their lift. I've got one it does not ride like a "loaded dump truck" In fact it's leaps and bounds better than the last lift I had. It's certainly not the best out there but it's not a waste of money. My only problem is with the leaf springs. That's it.

Most people who defend RC don't have anything to compare it to. Obviously, not everyone will agree, but there are few who go back to RC after buying a higher quality kit.

Another problem is that RC knowingly sells leaf springs that aren't long enough, resulting in a 90° shackle angle. When asked, they suggest buying their shackle relocation brackets to fix a problem they've known about for years. They also have a history of poor customer service. Like Rusty's, people either love them or hate them. I refuse to support either company due to their treatment of customers.

Goodyear Wrangler duratracs aer the perfect middle of the road option.

Thin sidewalls are the only problem. Great traction, though.

I leave one side connected, and use a bungee cord to tie the disco'd one up - attached to the swaybar itself. It moves with the suspension but does not limit flex or get in the way of the other suspension this way.

Seriously though I ask because I've run master craft courser ats great tires but uneven wear. I've run nitto terra grapplers and well there just ****. And I'm currently running toyo open country ats I'm rather impressed with but they are lacking in the mud department I was just curious as to some personal perspective. I'm more likely about to grab some stainless steel brake lines toss some 1.25" coil spacers on top if my lift and grab some 33" tread wright guard dogs.

Tires are one place where you get what you pay for. Running cheap tires will always give you cheap tire wear/performance. There are always compromises.
