I was originally thinking 4/5" lift but I sat in my bodys xj with 4" and was kinda easy to get into still ..ya I might go smaller I guess I need to decide of I want to trim fenders now to clear 33"s or later to clear 35"s

As for sye im thinking ill do it after the lift so shes up in the air and I can feel the difference ..so im not just bolting on a bunch of mods then if I have an issue ill be able to track it down easyer. .
Tom woods will go on after measure. Since im in no rush the xj will sit in my garage till done ..its my 2nd vehicle. ..

i would not go BDS. Buddy of mine bought their 4 link kit for his TJ Rubicon. Within 6 months all the joints were shot and he had to replace them all because BDS said tough luck on the "warranty".

I'd trust Clayton's stuff any day of the week over BDS. It's top notch stuff.

Agreed. I've heard BDS doesn't like to honor their warranty, at least for Jeeps.

Leave it off. Many XJs left the factory without them, and you won't notice.

98 would be a zj, not a wj. From what I hear they give a 1" lift on an xj

Post XJ suspension help.

Total noob to this forum so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this but i have a 96 xj runs great and guy sold it to me cheap. Problem is this, the driver side sway bar link is hitting my coil and today i discovered that my driver side shock was at full extension but yet my passenger side sway link is clearing and my passenger shock has plenty of travel. As far as the lift goes they did it the cheap way and put like 2inch blocks in the rear and i have no idea up front. Im planning on installing an actual lift asap but as for now id like to just get an idea of what could be going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stock sway bar links or are they adjustable?

If it's not drivable you can just take it off so you can drive it until you figure it out.

Something is out of place.
