I have had Re stuff on my previous jeeps and have the post merger Re on my current Xj. I can tell you the quality is still there.

Thank you for re-assuring me. Makes me feel a little better. They only thing is that it seems like the springs are being made elsewhere and imported from out of country. I could be wrong, but from what very little I've read online, somewhere from Asia.

I'm getting rubbed raw by spending $2500 over 10 days ago and having nothing to show for it, as of yet. You'd think that $2500 would make people do whatever it takes to make a customer happy.

Default 4WP / Rubicon are really dropping the ball - BAD

I called again today - 11 days since I dropped $2500 for a 5.5" RE lift and still have nothing to show for it.

I was told I'd get a call back from the manager... nothing for 3 hours, so I called back... Now instead of just the springs holding everything up, I'm told that they are missing half of the kit. WTF!?

What the hell is going on? Every time I get a different answer. How can this be THIS difficult being located next door to Rubicon Express? Seriously? I think I've been getting lied to from the very start. They are NOT getting my $2500. Nor will they get any more money from me ever again.

Thanks guys for the great site!

I was just wondering if anyone has run this lift on their xj? It's the complete 2-3" kit
http://www.rocky-road.com/old-man-emu-xj-cherokee.html

I was thinking about going with this one because of the hd leaf packs, bc I do a good amount of towing and have flattened my stock springs. Also anyone ever use their rr shocks? Wondering if they would be to soft for towing?

Last one, any other feedback on lift kits that are good for towing? I don't want to flatten new leafs when I tow .

Thanks guys

Ummmm. Do you have a recipt? Request a refund. What exactly did you buy for $2500? Get your money back and CF can get you on the right track. RE may be good but that store sounds like a joke.

And they called me back! YAY! That's different. <sarcasm>

Well, now they have to reorder everything. Apparently, after they (4wheelparts) talked to Rubicon... again... they now know what they need to complete the order and they should order it today and hopefully get it by friday...

I'm not holding my breath... This has been a very important lesson for me and I will not forget it. Talking to you Wallace.

Got a receipt. I ordered a RE 5.5" short-arm lift kit. RE6200 with twin shocks. I personally wanted mono shocks, but they were more expensive for some reason. In the end I'm getting Pro Comp shocks, however... RE is changing vendors for shocks and has zero to sell. I was told they are changing vendors for a lot of stuff... so I you are trying to order RE... better plan a month in advance.

I also ordered a SYE, driveshaft and a steering box brace.

Who's CF?

CF is CherokeeForum

If I were you I'd tell them to cancel the order and take my business else where. If they're this out of round when you're ordering my guess is they won't be much help if you have problems after. Plus they seem like they really don't care about your business.

Also, you might be able to get a better price on the stuff you ordered.

Cancel the order, get your money back, and pm the vendor serious offroad on this forum. He will hook you up with the same kit with the shocks you want for cheaper than anywhere else you will find. His website is seriousoffroadproducts.com , his name is frank. I've ordered lots of stuff from him, he offers a CF member discount, has super good prices, and ships fast.

Thank you very much. I though s10 leafs were not all that flexable? Guess I seen that on a bad source

Maybe I missed it, but for what type of wheeling/driving? 5100s are a damn good shock, and unless you're jumping or prerunning, I don't imagine you needing to spend more than you would for those.

Right that's what I was thinking. Trails, rocks, occasional road use. I was under the impression that 5100's were higher up quality wise, not considered at a minimum.

If you want a good ride, get 5100s. I'm content with my $30ea Monroe Sensatracs for now. They suck, and I probably blew them out from jumping my truck, but I'm not a picky person. When I lift the truck, I'll invest in 5100s after measuring what length I need.
