do you have driveline vibrations? if so, yes you need one. if not then you probably don't need one unless you go any higher. newer model xj's tend to start getting vibes earlier than the older models(high wise). why? ain't got a clue.

it's always good to go ahead and get an sye though. that way you don't have to worry about it.

Edit: damnit clown...

Depends on whether or not your rig wants one. Won't know til she sits higher. Many people use a TC drop as a solution, but that just moves the problem from the driveshaft to the motor mounts.

Most SYE kits are the same, so I suggest finding a few cheap options and then asking peoples' opinions about those particular brands.

Everyone has their own opinion. You get what you pay for friend. RC is a ok lift company not the best. Some like em some don't. I run RC CAD brackets and a few other parts and i like what i got. For a DD/weekend warrior, RC will be fine although i have to recommend Rubicon Express. Alot of people seem to like their stuff, i have no first hand experience with them though.

4.5" rc xseries, only complaint I have had was the length of the rear leaf. However, I was planning on Shackle box relocators, so the rears leafs were not a deterrent. For the price, you really can't beat RC. The majority of the RC haters out there don't/ and never have owned RC. They just jumped on the cool kids bandwagon at some point, and now they are just stuck.

Leaf too short is a HUGE issue. I don't remember if it was you or not but there was a lot of denial from RC in the thread about the leafs being too shorts. Plus the same denial in the thread about the trackbar being incorrectly manufactured. I don't need to buy them. I'll stay in the bandwagon. It's comfy in here.

I run a RC lift kit and hate it. Leafs are short and rough as hell. Mine is a DD/Weekend Warrior and I have already stretched a leaf spring and the other one is sagging only had them for >6 months and the coils are stiff as hell but not the worst in the world.
