My Tie rod end on the pitman arm was toast as was the tie-rod end on the trac-bar.
I'm too cheap to pay $40 for a new TRE from Napa or Advanced so I paid $10 to pull one off of a JY Cherokee. Then I paid $75 to a buddy of mine to buy his used JCR trac-bar.

I went with Mickey Thompson Baja Claws ..No hummm or wapping sound like all the others i'v run ...when i know im ganna hit the mud i rotate them side to side it reverses the deriction and turns them into a decent paddle ...good on rocks aswell

I'm running 33x10.50x15 BFG MK2s and I love them. They clean well in all this NY snow were having. Snow Can't stop them. It's a DD with very little road noise. There is a picture in my profile. Can seem to get the picture under my name. Any advise?

Rub'n?
I have a question too. Do you have any rubbing when you turn or are flexing you suspension on the trail? 3.5" lift with 33"s I heard rubbed.

4WD front end vibes?
Did some searchin but couldn't find anything relevant for the front, just the rear..
I have an '01 XJ, with a custom lift setup. 3" in the rear using S10 leaves, 8.25 rear, 1/2" TC drop, slight vibrations at 65+ mph, this is ok, I plan on eventually doing a SYE anyway.
In the front I just installed 2" spacers that I had. Didn't change anything else. No vibes up front in 2WD but in 4WD i get bad vibes heading straight at anything over 25 mph. Vibes weren't there before doing the lift. I'm thinking about putting new RC 3" lift springs so it matches the rear but the vibes are worrying me, I wanted to make sure 2" problems up front are addressed before going bigger. Any possible causes/solutions for the 4WD front end vibes? Thanks

3" lift
I am wanting to install a 3" suspension system on my jeep. Its a 1994, and my tires are 30.5x9.8 I have the Dana 35 Rear Axle (2-3/4" ID U-bolts). I have 1'' or 1 1/2'' spacers I have been told that the zone off road suspension system was a decent affordable lift in my price range. Here's the site: http://zoneoffroad.com/product?ki=34&gr=-1
I need to get this lift to stop the rubbing when turning, hitting any bumps, barely have clearance now ha. It's only a 2wd jeep but performs awesome despite this setback.
I have no idea if I need anything else other then what is provided in this lift to completly install it...? I would gladly take any advice or recommendations, never installed a suspension system before.

The 3.5" kit is a Rubicon RE3.5 super ride with full leaf packs. I got at least 4.5-5" from it. Its 8 months and it hasn't settled. Had to trim the rear of the front wheel well. It would rub on turns if I hit an incline at the same time. Try clicking on Magator and then, View Public Profile. Thats the only way I can see the picture. Let me know.

Rusty's Offroad 2"
I picked up a cheap 1994 XJ Sport 4-door for $t700 recently, and I'd like to give it a better stance. I don't need much clearance, 2 inches is plenty.
My last vehicle was an '87 BMW 325 sedan that I was restoring up until it was destroyed by a minivan last summer. The suspension work I did on that car was the complete opposite of what I want to do on my XJ, I dropped it to the point it was damn near scraping the road.
Here's the pic I'm sure someone will ask for:
Now I have this XJ and I want to lift it so my question is:
What's the difference between these 2" lifts, and which is easier to install?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys so Ive been doing a lot of searching on here and other sites looking for what most people say is the best 4.5 in lift for an xj. I have a 1995 with a 4inch lift already. but the po did the lift and its just not right. I have the stock driveshaft, no tc drop, aal's, and the dreaded lift blocks, stock control arms on drop brackets, and to top it stock brake lines. So my quesions stands at in your own opinion what do you see as the best 4.5 lift kit?
