Can somebody post a picture of their jeep xj (around 2000) with a 6.5 inch lift and all terrain 33x12.5x15 tires (if they were duratracs that would be awesome, what i plan on doing) and no fender trimming. I have been looking around but most ive seen are flexed to the max and i just want to see it on level ground, thank you
so question,
if I want to do a 3in lift kit I believe I won't need to extend brake lines or any of that extra stuff. That seems to be at 4in or above. But if I add an inch of coil spacers onto the 3in lift kit does that work the same way as a 4in lift? I would assume yes, but wasn't sure.

I have a 4.5" Blazer bastard pack in the rear made up of:
XJ Main
Blazer Main (With eyes cut off)
Blazer 2nd
Blazer 3rd
Blazer overload
I have a buddy thats going to sell me a 6.5" Long arm. How do I get the rear 2-2.5" higher? I don't want to do blocks at all and dont want to do shackles either. Any ideas how I can do this? Another blazer leaf on each side? Two leafs?
Thanks.

I'd like to have the articulation, I'd just rather have a full leaf pack.
If it was financially possible, I would get a full leaf pack. 6.5" is $300+ plus shipping. It would be alot easier on the wallet to go to my local spring shop and pick up a couple leafs. I just bought tires, adjustable LCA's, UCA's, coils, shocks, trackbar, yada yada yada... so a little low on funds.
I can score the long arm parts to go to 6.5" from my buddy for next to nothing (trading him some stuff in my garage).

Besides that, are you aware that the factory steering setup won't work at 6.5" of lift?
Also, what size tires are you planning to run? You may want to get a steering box brace, aftermarket spacer, and possibly even a Durango steering box.

Ok I have not read this entire articla and am tired of searching, Would like to gain another inch of lift, but get longer leafs on the back while keeping the axle centered under the Jeep for ease of installation for now. Any suggestions

sorry in the process of shackle relocators, just mainly need to know what I could steal a main leaf out of that would give me maybe an inch over stock or so, 2 would even be fine, my goal is a 3" lift when i'm done and 34's. I'm at 2 now, but the rear is nothing more than lift shackles. Just would like a couple inch longer spring to help with flex and ride.

Longer shackles will allow more articulation. With stock shackles and long leafs, the spring doesn't have nearly enough room for full compression or full droop.

What do you mean by factory steering setup? I have a drop pitman arm and steering stabilizer. Minus a steering box, what do I need to do?
I'm just finding it real hard to say no to the 6.5" long arm upgrade...

I thought dakotas pushed the main bolt back an inch, at least from 2 websites I have seen they are 24x 30 and the XJ is 23x28 5/8

I see what you're saying about the shackle function. But isn't lift height limited with them? Would a 4" shackle (eye to eye) give me 2" lift? And dont shackles flatten leaf packs?

I'm not saying you shouldn't take the kit. Just know what you're getting into.
