Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.. So lets say a rustys 6.5" xj lift coil compressed. I don't have a stock coil or jeep to get any stock measurements from.. I figure there's someone here that would know or could take a quick measurement..

I'm looking I put cherokee coils under a different rig

the compressed length will vary with the amount of weight applied, so if the other rig weighs different, the height will be different...

Further complicating things - different manufacturers use different spring rates, so the height difference will vary depending on the manufacturer also.

I have Rusty's 6.5" coil springs on my Jeep but my measurement wouldn't do you any good considering they're 7 years old and no longer measure anywhere near 6.5"s.

That all is true but irrelevant to my question.. My first post stated under a 4.0 and I clearly stated Rustys coils! All the math had been done to adjust for weight difference.. Just wanna know the height of a compressed rustys 6.5" coil under the weight of a 4.0 4door

With or without A/C? Stock or aftermarket bumper? With or without winch? How old should the coils be? What model number of shocks?

You're asking for an arbitrary number.

Depends on the size of your tires. Daystar makes extended ones.

You'll have to measure. It's gonna be different for yours than someone else's.

You're trying to argue a couple hundred pounds, and which if you had some old worn out coils it would make a moderate change but still only at most 3/4" to 1 1/2" of sag. With New coils however that "arbitrary number" would be much less affected.. Shock aren't going to affect much of the ride height unless you're running an air shock which is a completely different topic all together. Given that all coils will compress differently even from the same manufacturer I was just looking for a ball park number..

Thanks Lowrange2

Default tire and rim size

hey guys i just bought a couple months ago my first car which is a 2000 cherokee sport 2 door. The interior is mint and the outside has little scratches here and there. Anyways im planning on lifting it with the 4.5 Rough Country lift. I want to put the 15x8 pro comp rock crawler series 97 wheels on it but im just confused as to which tires to buy and the size and widths of the tire. I am a beginner so i just want to get everything clear before i go and buy anything. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mine clean alot quicker then my buddies km2s I can pull out of a mud hole and role a lil bit and my tires are clean where as my buddy has to role 2x as far to get his to clear
