Mind you the compounds between cooper and procomp will be the same depending on tire since cooper owns procomp tires.

Procomps aren't the best tire by any sense of the word there are better tires from multiple brands. I have dealt with them and they had the same issue as my Cooper S/T's, hard compound does spin on rocks, sucks soooo bad on ice and rain+wet grass made it like an ice skating ring. They did however pull well in mud.

its usually recommended to run an 8" wide wheel with a 12.5" wide tire. Spacers are dependent on the backspacing of the wheel. Most guys run a 3.75-3.5" backspace wheel.
So basically what does that mean? I need an 8" wheel with a 3.75" backspace? How about offset? Does that mean anything ?

Hey guys any help would be greatly appreciated. I "scored" a whole pile of parts off of a J/Y xj. My problem now is that I can't figure out what the front coils are. The part number that is stamped into them looks like JC60FS which leads me to believe that they are 6" lift coils from Skyjacker. Does anyone know what the uncompressed length is for these springs or one like them? There is a possibility that the 6 is actually an 8. Hence my question.
Thanks,
Mills

I am about to but a stock 1999 Cherokee and I would like to lift it and run on 32's. It will be my daily driver/trail fun. As far as taking it off road I will go play in mud every once in a while and explore some trails around San Marcos, Tx. I want a lift that will keep my girlfriend comfortable on the road but still perform off road.
I can save money for the right lift but I was hoping to spend less that $1500.
Any suggestions on what lift kit I would need to run 32's and keep it a comfy daily driver would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I'd recommend 3.5"-4" of lift for 32s. If you're willing to trim a bit off the fenders you could fit 32s under 3" of lift.
No matter which kit you go with i recommend new full replacement leaf springs for the rear, not "add-a-leaf" kits - they ride rough, and sag over time.
I recommend Iron Rock Offroad (add full packs in place of add-a-leaf)

You will also need a new adjustable trackbar, double shear preferred

You will also likely need a SYE kit and CV driveshaft to prevent vibrations. You may need longer brake lines also.

$1500 including tires? That's a stretch if you want decent components.

You can win big sometimes on craigslist. Not counting free stuff, my best deal to date: I got a half decent BFG A/T for use as a spare with an aluminum wheel for $25 and took the wheel to the recycle and got $18 back.

I got a pair of RE 3.5" leaf packs for $175, and he threw in some free stuff cause we BSed for a while. I also got 5 brand new 33x12.5 Duratracs on wheels for $450 and sold the wheels for $150. Then I used that money to buy four $95ea AWC wheels for $110.

3.5 rubicon express lift
Ive been looking around at the RE 3.5 lifts and I've noticed that there is two on there website. Does anyone suggest one over the other? And also it says recommended wheel is 8" W and back space is 4-4.75. Would 31x10.50 tires with 3.75 back space on 15" x 8" pro comp wheels work?
