You might need longer parking brake lines too. YJ mod. But I'd just wait and see if you need them or not.

Default death wobble fix?

I purchased my 2004 grand cherokee with a 4'' rough country lift. came with stock tires. i put on 31'' tires and got the dreaded death wobble. The track bar was stock so i put in the rough country adjustable one which made the problem better but not completely solved it. Also put new steering stabilizer and shocks. Rotors are not warped, wheel bearings are good, and the control arm bushings seem fine. The tie rods could be replaced do you think they could be causing the death wobble? any advice would help! Thanks

I adjusted the toe and that helped. Looked on a website about caster and if I read that right then mine is off by about 5 degrees. Would the caster being off make the steering sensitive like that?

I would do what he said and do an alignment since its free. Then the control are situation.
Yes, brand new adjustable control arms and they are set according to the directions. Wheels are centered up perfect. Caster is off some so that needs adjustment. Should be about 5 degrees and right now it is at 10.

Do I recall you saying you got LCA drop brackets? Did the measurements in the directions account for those?

At 6" I had to make my own directions and measurements for my Control arms. With drop brackets. My were out like 18+ inches eye to eye.

if DW started after you put the new tires on, my first guess is that the tires are not balanced correctly, and your alignment might be off

92 cherokee

Plan on getting a skyjacker kit for the cherokee, nothing to crazy just a small cheaper kit and getting new tires to.
Would I have any other specialty thing I would need to do for the jeep
This is the kit I'm thinking about
http://m.quadratec.com/products/product.php?pid=76117+801

I'm looking around to see if I can get a better deal on it
Think ill need to get new brake lines for it ( some proper steel ones for winter and rust) and also a parking brake kit because my case for it dropped off and ripped out the kit and now have to park in gear always

you can get way better shocks, spacers, and shackles for much cheaper than that...skyjacker is crap.

nothing wrong with RC for economy lifts - pretty hard to **** up a plastic spacer. Shocks are decent too. Springs and joints? not so much.
