I read this is because the track bar is pulling and pushing on the frame and axle causing the steering to be pulled back and forth because they are both connected to the axle (at different locations of course but still the axle essentially). Apparently a common problem on solid axle vehicles.

I did lower the rear down one inch. It was really sitting too high anyway. That seemed to help some too. But I have driven the Jeep all week and have gotten used to the lift and steering so it does not seem to feel as exaggerated as it did at first.

I stopped by the junk yard today and picked up a front drive shaft and got it installed. I did not have to adjust my pinion angle at all. Apparently RC's measurements on the control arms were spot on.

Took the Jeep for a little off roading and it did great!
Glad to hear it!

Default Front driveshaft as rear

Got a 2000 Cherokee, 3" of Rustys lift and have ds vibes. I've resolved to find a front ds and put it in the rear for the cardan joint, its my understanding that this will work just fine with a SYE. My question is, besides the SYE and the front driveshaft, what else should I do to be able to install a front driveshaft in place of my rear without any problems. Any suggestions would help a lot. Thanks

Youll need degree shims so angle your pinion directly toward your new rear drive shaft(which is really a front drive shaft).

If not, you'll eventually destroy your rear axle internals.

I don't know if there would be much savings but does anybody sell the parts to upgrade a single-sheer setup to double-sheer? Seem like just the one end and the bracket would need replaced.

The stock tb cannot be converted to double shear. You'll need a new TB.

Its only a single shear track bar. It will limit flex and the TRE that connects to the frame side mount will wear out.

The double shear is stronger. Why not spend just a few more dollars that is a very important part of your steering/suspension ?

IRO sells RC and that track bar looks awfully similar to RCs

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-adj...-bar_7572.html

So save yourself a fee buck if you get that one and get it through RC lol.

No. Get educated.

Many people seem to think that all the springs on your site (individual and in kits) are RC. Would you please clarify in a manner that I can quote to answer that question in the future?
Thank you,

They have broken ties except for a few clearly labeled Rough Country products that are presumably leftovers from their switch. They have never used RC steering parts with the IRO name on them.

Furthermore, in reference to the product comparison:
Rough Country: Thick 0.25" wall tubing for heavy-duty durability.
Iron Rock: Very heavy duty 1.25" diameter solid steel, most other aftermarket track bars are made from hollow tubing that can be bent by off road use.
