Like others have said RESEARCH.... But I'll give you a quick rundown. SYE, CV driveshaft, and if you want to run 33's or larger a new set of gears for both axels. A trans. cooler wouldn't hurt either. Otherwise depending on what kit you go with you should be set
Crap forgot to hit quote. Anyways this is in reply to tommyboy33

rear leaf installation
BoomstickTMO:
Rear and front shackle? There should be only one per side of the vehicle, and it should be in the rear.
Your shackle should be at 45° towards the rear. The extra lift you have is because the geometry of the shackle isn't right, because the springs are too short. It also won't flex (or ride) very well.
You had to drill out the plate? What are you referring to ? What rear axle do you have?
Make sure you torque all of those bolts, including the U-bolts, with the wheels on the ground. You should also do this about twice in the next 1k miles. Probably at 250 miles and 750 miles. After that when you do routine maintenance or before and after wheeling you should check em.
I thought about linking BleepinJeep's video about leaf-springs, he had a pretty interesting method (all of his videos are weird...) glad to hear it worked out though?

Jerrythejeep... See the attached photo... Everything looks good. The plate I had to drill out was the plate that holds the leaf to the axle. The nut on the top of the new leaf was larger than the existing hole in the plate... I did not touch the u bolt holes.
I have a little bit more work to do on the lift, brake lines, exhaust, and valve cover... Then when my wheels and tires arrive, I am bringing it to a local 4x4 shop. They have agreed to check all the newly added items for correct torques and set up, then balance all four tires and align the front, for $180. I will still have to go back and check it all again in 1k miles, but for piece of mind, for that price, seems well worth the cost.
Thanks again for your input.

the shackle has not been tightened... nor have any of the nuts/bolts. I had to stop work on tuesday night and cannot get back into it until tomorrow night. "45 degrees to the rear" I am reading JerrytheJeep's helpful comments.

Yeah needs to be the opposite direction. And YOU need to go buy a torque wrench from harbor frieght for 20 bucks and learn how to use it so your axle doesn't do the shuffle on the highway, or worse.
Thank you. I should have known that answer. I am a bit brain dead sometimes. On a side not I have a question about some wheels. I decided to not lift my truck but keep it for more of an expedition vehicle and daily driver but I want to put bigger tires on it. I am going to run 235/75r15 tires and want to get a set of Crager Soft 8's for it and I want them to stick out a little bit from the wheel wells, what size wheels should I get? Thank you in advance for any and all help you guys can give me.
