That depends.

Do you have a slip yoke eliminator?

No?

Yes?

Yes because the engine/transmission is at an angle. You need to get an angle finder and take some measurements if you wanna set it right. Its all about relations depending on the driveshaft you have.

If you dont have an SYE, then you need one. At 5.5" you absolutely need one.

In those pictures it looks like you dont have one, probably just a transfer case drop.

Get an SYE and double cardigan drive shaft, then setthe pinion angle to point directly at the drive shaft.

I shimmed mine with 6 degree shims and it was perfect. Drive shaft and pinion are 90 degrees to each other. Running an IRO hack and tap sye and stock front drive shaft.

Whoa! You must mean they are pointing at each other, which would be 0° (or 180°) to each other.

Thanks guys, I guess a sye and double cardan propshaft is next on the list then, I'd rather do things right.

If anyone knows anyone selling a full lift preferably 3" and taller please point them in my direction! Just had to drop $1300 to make my xj road worthy now I'm broke and can't really afford a brand new lift.

That have been installed during the lift. Thats really high to be driving with a regular slip yoke dive shaft.

Importing costs to SA is a bit steep, which is why I haven't done it yet.

Definitely shouldve waited to lift until you had that. But oh well. You know how to fix now at least.
