They add leverage for the rotational forces acting on your axle, and they cause spring wrap which will sag/break your leafs.
Some are made from cheap metal and can break, becoming a serious hazard. If not torqued properly, they can move, causing the same hazards.

2 people are looking at my CJ tomorrow or sometime soon, if it sells, which it probably wont because im posting this, this is what i plan on doing: 4.5" rough country full lift kit, new leafs, discos, brake lines, track bar etc, SYE if needed, selling my 31s and getting either 32x11.50 or 33x12.50 KM2s, 2 12" subs, dual battery setup probably, LED bar for the bumper and 2 more kc lights to replace my roof rack lights, ill be a light house! Total cost should be under 2k and ill make some money back from selling my 3" lift on it right now and 31s!

Rough country 3inch lift
I installed Rough Country 3 inch lift on my cherokee. Ive heard mixed things. Is it really any good or should I be worried? What are the problems with it?

I guess this goes here...more a driveshaft question.
I put a 3.5" RE spring kit on the rear..I have an NP242 t-case (99 XJ) and Dana35 rear axle. An axle swap isn't OUT of the question but isn't happening any time soon. I am anticipating some vibrations, and if they can't be solved with a simple t-case drop, I am looking at an SYE and a replacement driveshaft. Budget depending I want to get a new driveshaft since they aren't super pricy but I want to know if it will be compatible with other rear axles?
IE: Install new shaft & SYE, then down the road put a C8.25 w/ Discs on, would I need another driveshaft? I believe the distance between the yokes can change depending on the pumpkin / axle, so I don't want to be screwed out of an axle in a year or two.
Does this make sense? I am probably never going to go hogwild on 4wheeling since I have other hobbies, but I do like to future proof things & build them solid if given the chance.

Hey guys do I'll be installing my sye and driveshaft and am wondering how you go about calculating your angles for the use of shims? I'm gonna head to harbor freight to pick up an angle digital reader.

Leaf springs
2000 Cherokee. My stock leaf springs are sagging so I am going to replace them. I have 30's that I want to put on so my question is can I put on 3.5" leaf springs on to help it go back to stock and a little lift to fit the. 30's on? Thanjs

There's an app you can use to find the angle. Measure the angle of the pinion from on top of the yoke and the angle of the driveshaft. The difference of the two should be about 2-3°

Thats a very nice looking Cherokee! I put the same system on mine minus the AAL... I got the brand new leaf springs. Ive heard people saying RC isnt that good, but tell you what I drove it around today and couldnt be happier. As for the 3 inch, the 4.5 I decided was too high for my every day driver, I was debating on either 2", 2.5", and 3 ". Im happy that I got the 3, perfect size for me. Did you have to install SYE or transfer case drop??? Here is my jeep...

No. Bare min is spacers and shackles. No drop needed and if you want you can bend the stock steel brake lines and re-drill the mounting hole. Search for front brakeline relocation.
