Picking up a 91 XJ Cherokee for my daughter looking to put a little lifts 2 to 3” And run some 31x10.50x15 or 32x1100x15 on it keeping lift cost around $500.-$600.00. I am not a Jeep guy and know nothing about them so any how is this doable. This will be her DD and any help will be appraited. What brand of lifts do you prefer looking for something complete? Or would I need to buy separate lift parts to get the better set up. Will we have any steering /driveline issues with this amount of lift? And if you have any parts post them up too.

Thanks in advance
Brian
I just recently purchased and had installed a rough country 3" series II with the new nitro shocks for the price range you mentioned. The install price is not included in that price. Couldn't do it myself due to having a recent surgery. But, I do like the lift. It does ride a little rough but, it is settling in nicely. I haven't done any serious off roading yet but, what I have done I can say is a huge improvement.

Good Luck.

New control arms, preferbably long arms. Drop pitman arm. And that's about it. Brake lines too

Default Measureing lift

What is the right way too measure lift. I have the RE3.5" lift kit that gave me 4.5 to 5"s of lift over stock when new. Dosen't seam to have dropped.(8 months). I want to install a control arm drop bracket kit and from what I've read you need to have close to 4.5"s of lift or more. How do I measure to determine my exact lift once and for all. Thanks Frank P.S. Its a 94 XJ

Go search stoc specs of cherokee. Then compare the height to yours. But minus the lift your tires give you.

how much will I need to trim my fenders in order to put 33s on a 3" rough country lift? I wont be doing any insane offroading, so rubbing isn't a huge issue. I just want it to look good while driving down the road.

quite a bit. but it wont be too hard. if you get some longer bump stops you wont need as much trimming.

Who makes these Xj lower control arms, or are they custom ones?
I got these from the junk yard and I couldn't find the right bushings for these until I went to the jy again and found a new set in some other arms But as I intend on keeping these for longer than the life of the bushings I need to find some that will fit.
