There may be a little more to it, but that was the jist of what I read and it seems pretty simple. I would search and read a little more on it though.

Here's a write up on it.

Would a rancho rs5000 ($45) shock or a
Jk shock be better?

Splitting hairs. They are approximately the same from what I've read. RS has the benefit of a warranty.

Better is subjective.

For the price of 1 rancho, you could get a set of 4 JK's. Also, there are really 3 options for the JK, the Sport, the Sahara and the Rubicon. Softer to stiffer.

Since my XJ will is a DD and will see mostly pavement, my choice it the Sahara's.

RS has the benefit of a warranty, but JK shocks are dirt cheap. I ran JKU (4 door) Rubicon shocks on my XJ which I daily drove. They're very stiff, but I like to feel the road when I drive.
[Insert joke about me rolling the Cherokee and crawling out onto the road.]

I just found these OME leaf springs. http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/dak...1a-p-8817.html

Does any one have any idea how much lift they will provide? I am kind of confused as to why they are so cheap? pretty much every other full pack I have found is more than $119??? Does this look right to anyone?

I knew it was price per side, pretty much every other full pack of that hight is sold the same and between 115-175. I may have over looked the bushings I'm assuming any bushing will do of the right size, brand is probably not a huge factor?
