Hmm I kinda like that look.. How's the on road drivability? Looks like you don't have a fe see flare on the drivers side??? I'm ok with upgrading to aftermarket flares too..
Thanks for the pics Ill look around and see if I can find some more.

Almost there
Ok as I have read through I have found lots of answers to these questions but none seem to be direct or someone else contradicts so. If I lift 3 inches from stock do I need (being the key word) to get: transfer case drop, sway bar links, LCAs, trackbar? Or are those more to improve ride/will the stock ones be able to handle the change? At least for when I first lift it I don't plan on doing much wheeling, understanding that the rest of her is still in rough shape. I plan to replace those but budget is tight.

I have a 98. I first put a 2" budget boost on and found afterward I needed either an SYE or transfer case drop... I had bad driveline vibes.. So put a bandaid on with a TC drop. I later decided to put 3" springs and got a RE adjustable track bar. Next for me is an SYE because a TC drop is just a bandaid IMO
I did lots of research and found lots of contradicting statements too.
Do you NEED LCA's and sway bar links w/ a 3" lift the answer is NO. But if they are worn at least replace with new OEM parts.. Also plan on at least buying a TC drop. Plan on getting an adjustable track bar for piece of mind... And learn from my mistakes if you are goin with a 3" lift buy a full leaf kit from a reputable company! Not AAL. I understand the budget thing but don't do what I did and spend money twice to get a quality result.

My plan is to put a bastard pack in the back out of an s10 most likely, my leaf pack is frowning at this point I'm concerned that I may need to buy an xj pack as well just for the main.

Im wondering you do a SYE can the S10 leafs be run with out any modification? Using the stock Cherokee main leaf the shackle angle sucks. I wonder what it would be with a longer leafs.

new jeep!
Hi all! Id like to say thanks for this site. Im a new member but have read a TON about jeeps on here! i recently sold my full size 72 k5 blazer with an 8" rough country lift, 38" super swamper tsl sx, had detroit lockers in the front and rear, also put a 3/4 ton axle GM 14 bolt in the rear and a new motor and was regeared to a 5.10 i think... it was a beast! I just sold it for $8000.00. I loved the thing and was satisfied with every part on it .Anyways i sold it because it was too heavy and big at times. also the body, well what was left of it anyways was rusting like a son of a gun.. so heres my question, I just bought a 1994 jeep cherokee sport all stock. its got high miles but i got it for 1000.00 and it super clean and well maintained. I want to lift it and put tires on it. i have been looking at the rough country 4.5" lifts (not add a leaf) the full set up. I would like to run 33's, but will think about 31's if necessary. not sure what brand id like yet. i do use it as a daily driver for now, but do a lot of camping in the summers and need to be able to get where i wanna go in the mountains as well as drive mildly around the city. i have about a 5000.00 budget to start out. I would love suggestions on what to spend it on exactly. I know a lift, tires, shocks, are necessary, but i read and see that i need drop kits and long arms or extension arms and all that but am a little confused on what all i absolutly need to keep it safe yet fun with good flex and climbing ability! by safe i mean i dont want to break anything major right away haha. please help. also im sorry if this is too long or if this is the wrong place to ask a full build question like this but the lift and tires are the first concern and need to know for me to start this thing. i cant wait to see this little white jeep come to life from stock! Thanks to all!!!

I wasn't sure about sye I see lots of talk about them but whenever I read the specs on an sye they say for 4.5 inches of lift or more. So I am kinda torn on those.
