Do you get any rubbing issues? Im thinking that Ill keep the stock fenders on until I can save some money for the Flat bushwackers

Nope no rubbing at all. Never did any hardcore flexing or anything but from some trailing and just regular driving around there is no rubbing at all.

Anybody have comments on 30 or 31inch BFG A/T KOs and the 3inch Rustys lift with the full leaf packs? I thought Rustys was cheaper than the RC Full Pack, but I just saw on here that RC is cheaper than Rustys with the discount that Grimus gives to forum members.

Haha your the second guy who asked that.lol Yeah it does mount to the bumper. And as far as where i got it, it was on the jeep when i got it, when i was in the process of getting it the previous owner said he picked it up at a junk yard and did some fabrication to make it work, and no matter how hard i think i can not remember what the guy said it was off of, at the moment it was the last thing on my mind.lol

PS. i dont know if you already have, but if you go to my pictures there's a closer and better pic of it.

Thats a stock XJ Tire carrier. Came on some of the older ones. I think 90 and under or something close to that.

Also I wouldnt suggest keeping a large tire on it. ITs not made to handle the weight. Im getting 32's tomorrow but Im not putting on on there. I might remove it and sell it to fund a safari rack.

Or save it till I make my rear bumper then fab it to bolt up to that. Then it will be sturdy. I know if you open it and pull down a little bit you can see the bumper flex, maybe try it on yours. The guy could have done something to sure it up a bit.

So I have a couple questions on lifting options for my 96 XJ.

As of right now I have the Rubicon Express 3.5" Super flex lift with full leaf packs, also have the teraflex 1.75" coil spacer and shackle.
Rugged Ridge 1 Ton Steering Upgrade
Transfer Case drop (I'm getting a SYE for when I do the bigger lift)
33x13.50R15 Toyo MT
8.25" 27 Spline 3.55 Gears
Dana 30 3.55 Gears

Thats a few things I have right now.

I just scored on some RE 1461 Leaf packs ( Rubicon Express 5.5" Extreme Duty Leaf Packs for 200 brand new from Craigslist) so I'm keeping my rear shackle and wanted to see what you guys think I should do in the front?

Either RE 5.5" Coils and my Tera Flex Coil Spacer? OR
RE 7.5" Coil? OR
A 6.5" Coil with a small isolator?

What about the steering right now it has the stock pitman arm. I was going to try to put on a larger one like from rugged ridge or if you guys can help me with the size of pitman arm drop I might need.

Sorry I am all over the board here. Hopefully someone can understand some of this.
My overall plan is running 35" tires and 4.56 or 4.88 Gears which will be done all at the same time of the lift upgrade along with a Rough Country LA Upgrade

Go with the full coils up front. get a pitman arm and trac bar drop bracket. and you should be good to go! 4.56 gears will be plenty for 35's to 37's. also look into upgrading axles

I got one. I bought a lift off a guy on here and it was supposed to come with shackles. But there was a problem with them so he threw on another aal to the already aal'd pack. Will that work? Or should I take them out and get shackles? I preferably wouldn't want to get the shackles if I want to lift more. But it's a daily driver and probably won't be wheeling. What do you think?
