I want to get some 33 or 35 inch tires, but before I do that I'd like to get a shackle flip kit for the rear and go SOA in the front. And that will take some $$$. SO, to get me by, would it be wise to put tubes in the two that don't hold air. (both tires leaked slowly, but one won't air up and the other I haven't tried to inflate yet.) If the one that I haven't tried WILL inflate, I may just use the can of slime I have here if you think that would be better. I hate to use the slime, since I hated having to scrape it off the rims whenever I worked on mower tires that had had it used, but I want these to last long enough for me to build up some cash.. Also, would you recommend using actual car tubes (if I can find them big enough) or using farm equipment tubes? Farm equipment tubes would seem to make more sense, since it would stand to reason that they would have a higher load capacity, right? Oh, and would you do all four tires? Or just the offending two? All input greatly appreciated, TIA! (Picture is of one of the mud terrains.)
If the tires are that old they're probably dry cracked like nobody's biz. And if you can at all avoid it don't use slime. It eats the inside of your rim to bits and is a VERY temporary fix. Getcha a bottle of soapy water and a $5 plug kit. Nothing to it

So track bar drop bracket. Any good? I'm only doing 3in. And yes I realize I don't NEED to do anything with the track bar at this height.

You do need to do something. Your axle will be shifted to the left if you don't. With (I imagine) over 150k miles on the Jeep, it wouldn't hurt to replace the trackbar anyway because the ends do wear out.

No, it's not needed.

I would get a track bar. But there is a 150$ difference. And I'm on a tight budget.(I probably will get on down the road) but if I just get a drop bracket will I be more prone to death wobble our anything along those lines?

Yes, you'll be creating a problem, not solving one.

Re-drill the axle side mount and you'll be fine until you replace the OE trackbar.

Hey, thanks! I hadn't thought about a plug kit.. I just need to be able to move it short distances, in case we have to get to the tractor behind it.

In a month or so I'm installing a RE 3 1/2" full leaf lift an I would like to put 31"s on it but I like my stock steelies. I don't know of 31x10.5 will fit on stock rims or do I need to get new wheels as well when I get tires. I do not plan on trimming at all but at 3 1/2" I should be plenty clear on 31"s. Right? Haha

Your stock wheels will be fine, but you may want to consider adding some spacers to move the outboard a little bit.

This what I did. I Llike my icons so I used spidertrax wheels spacers

There are 'rings' made to make aftermarket wheels fit the hub.
Thanks for the education.

You shouldn't have an issue. I'm running 35's on a 3.5" Re lift.

No prob bud. From experience puttin tubes in tires will work they're just a pain to put in and after seein all the tires with slime that come in our shop it just ruins the wheels and isn't effective! But yeah a tube or plug would be your best bet for sure!

Default 01 xj on 36s?

A friend if mine just gave me some 36x12.5 super swampers I plan on putting on my jeep after I trim the fenders.. Already has a 6 inch lift.. And I have a spartan locker in the front axle... Was wondering can I run 36s with stock axles? I've seen two sides saying that it's a bad idea and people that say they've never had a problem.. Lemme know what you guys think.
