Thank you for you help !!
I bet your leaf springs are stock. Extended shackles on stock leaf springs will cause then too bow. That and with the sway bar connected, the rear will only extend so high. Ditch the rear sway bar, get HD leaf springs and although you may still get some bowing for the shackles, should sit better. Ill tell you though, nothing beats full leaf lift kits. Take a picture of your lift for the side and post up

Default tire question

somewhat of a tire question... Does anyone know if a screw in your tire can cause it to be out of balance? i have a 1/4" sheet metal screw with 1/2" washer driven into my drivers side tire, and after i lifted it i noticed a shimmy or out of balance feeling in the front end. (i 100% guarentee the screw came from the shop that lifted my jeep because i recognize the screw) just wondering if this could cotribute. alignment is spot on, all new 1 ton steering, new track bar end, so i know none of the components are causing issues. the tires ran fine before it was lifted.

Is it a wood screw or a sheet metal screw? That shop should be paying to fix your tire, and give you a free balance and alignment.

Sheet metal screw, and the sh!tty part is the shop is owned by my uncle and he would laugh if i brought up reimbursement or help with the tire
i just want to know if it would affect how it drives. the head of the screw stickes out about 1/4 of an inch too.

are you serious? Just take the screw out and plug it. If it stops then you know that was the problem... If not then something else is wrong. I seriously doubt that it is the problem though, think about how often you roll around with a little rock in the tread of your tire and don't notice it

30x9.5r15 the perfect size for a stock xj is a 235/75r15 which is just under 30 inches

look at my post again, if you have a stock xj it is generally accepted that 235/75r15 is the biggest size that will fit and not rub anywhere.

Yup, she is still being built, so I'm looking at a 3" rough country and 30s

i run 33s on a 3.5 inch lift, with cut fenders. Don't go by what the manufacturer says about what size tires you can fit, you can run 35s in 3 inches if you want. I'd run at least 31s on 3 inches of lift.

Thanks! Not looking to cut the fenders (or even remove the flares) yet, so would 33s still fit?
