Looking into the Rubicon Express 3.5" Super-Ride lift as my first lift. I have a couple of newbie questions though. I saw to kit listed on SummitRacing (link below) and I noticed one major difference between this and a comparable RoughCountry kit: The RE doesn't come with new front shocks... Are those something I should replace while I already have the springs out, or will the stock ones be fine? If so, what shocks do you guys recommend? One more question: Will I need to do anything to my brake lines? (Dana 30 & Chrysler 8.25 on a '97 country)

I have this same lift, with RE adjustable track bar and RE monotube shocks. I love it. It has a super smooth ride. If you aren't investing in a sye setup, you may want to order the tc drop kit ($25ish). Some need it, some don't. I needed it. Still saving to do the sye and ds mods. My lift sat at close to 5" till it finally settled around 6-8 months. Currently sits just over 4" front and back. Good luck with your install if you're doing it yourself. Here's one of my favorite lift install threads. Great read...

pony-up for a better shock, you'll be oh so glad you did.
RE says you can redrill your axle-side trackbar bount and use the OEM trackbar. I don't care for this option myself. I'd recommend an adjustable trackbar.

I Don't plan to air-down therfore 10" wide is worth the extra $8ea, they all look nice so i can't go wrong, the Black Rock 15x10 with 4.5bs should fit w/o spacer right ? Most guys run 4" on 15x8 or 15x10,
options are 3.75, 4.00, 4.50
So which BS would you guys run on 5.5" lifted XJ ?

If you're not airing down, wheel width shouldnt matter. Just pick whatever you want. Alloy wheels weigh less and look good on mallcrawlers
I agree, have alloy beadlocks on TJ with budget lift
looks like my MY04 TJ X 4.0L manual driveshaft making the "angry sparrow" chirp and clank in low gear takeoff. Needs, Sye, Rear shaft, U bolt kit. Should it change the gears & put a locker in or do it later ?
I like the deep dish look of the 15x10 flat D Black Rock vs the shallow D Cragar & ProComp but the pic may just be a 15x7 so it's confusing.

to fit 33s on these 15x10's will need at least 5" lift
