Generally pretty nice shocks though... Measure them at extended & collapsed length and see what you have. You can find lift cheat charts online to give you a rough idea of what's useable but you still want to measure by hand in case somethings funky with your vehicle. Otherwise a shock can blow up or get yanked off the mounts!

Shackle vs. Block
I am interested in getting a small lift on my '95 XJ. I am a city dweller, and it will spend 99% of its life on pavement but would like to be a little higher up and not sag in the *** end.
I was wondering about the difference between the budget kits that use a longer shackle for the rear springs and those that use a block under the spring? Is one better, safer, easier?

Stock replacement with a lift shackle (you can get HD replacements that lift like an inch), Old Man Emu and Rancho also make 2" lift leafs.

I think when i have enough money I'm going to go with the iro double shear. One more question: for a 3" lift do i need to get a drop pitman arm?

That's why a 3" lift is a good spot. All honesty you really only need an adjustable trac bar, LCAs (which people Will contest but im happy i got them) and possibly an SYE depending on your jeep or leaf spring setup. Im mad how much money and time i wasted with budget boosts and 2" shocks and just crap that i should have just done a full leaf 3" lift to begin with years ago.
