For a 3 inch lift on a budget, would you guys get Rough Country series ii with lcas or the zone kit and buy separate lcas? I did the math and for rc with non-adjustable lcas and track bar would cost me $750. Zone with adjustable lcas and track bar would be $830...

Is Zone better than RC in your opinion?
Whih company has longer leaf packs for shackle angle, and which is less likely to sag if i get the full packs?

Thanks

PS i k ow there are lots of questions on this already posted. Im asking about CURRENT kits, as RC and Zone reviews seem to have changed over the years as products develop (for example, i hear that RC uses 1/4" longer springs now than before)

Zone has good products. IMHO use RE. They have some solid leafs as i hear. Go IRO on the trac bar,or one of the others that were mentioned below. Im happy with my IRO bent LCAs.

I was gonna definitely go IRO for the track bar with either kit for springs. Only problem with RE is their 3.5 kits usually net people close to 4 or even more, or so they say...And I don't want an SYE (yet). I also won't have new tires for a while (225/75/16 at the moment) and i think my current tires wouldn't look QUITE as bad on 3 inches than on like 4....And my dad said 3 inches is the max, and I live under his roof and he payed for the xj...

An RE kit on 225s will look silly. I had 235s on mine for about a week and it looked ridiculous.

I'm still on the fence about RC's spring quality as well as their shocks. Other components of theirs like endlinks, control arms and other seem pretty good. What about OEM springs and longer shackles paired with front spacers. 2" lifts on stock wheels/tires look pretty cool IMO. Like a rally Jeep.

Yeah I considered that, but the only adjustable track bar for a 2 inch lift is the JKS one and it's wicked expensive...Also I hear that stock packs with shackles will sag quickly, so if i went 2 inches I'd be looking into ome packs...It just seems silly to get the 2 inch when id be spending almost the same amount as I would for 3

If you are going to the Australian site it is not your phone, but if you go to the ARB USA site you can get some information.

Ok I'm pretty much keeping my xj stock height, I added a 3/4 inch spacer in the front and 1" boomerang shackles in the rear, my question is should I run new front upper and lower control arms for more suspension travel?

I also have added a swaybar disconnect.

Suspension travel and articulation are two different things.
Full travel can be had with the swaybar connected, but articulation is very limited.
Disconnecting the swaybar will allow the axle to articulate (flex) more and be more lively and follow the terrain better.
The steering and trackbar usually limit travel and articulation on a lifted rig. Otherwise it's the shocks that limit it.
By adding control arms with joints on one end, movement can be increased IF there is any to gain.

So,your saying keep the stock control arms because with a factory height rig their will be no gains by changing them.
