#001 Front end of Blue Meanie showing bends in the bumper.

#002 Driver's side of the front bumper.

#003 Close up of the driver's side bumper.

#004 Passenger side front bumper. The bends are quite visible.

#005 Close up of the passenger side bumper.

#006 View of the driver's side frame member. It is hard for me to see any deformations of the frame.

#007 This would seem to show the bend in the frame.I understand that there is an s-bend in the frame. But, the two sections don't align anymore.

#008 Passenger's side of the frame.I see the s-bend in the frame. But, it does seem that the sections align.

#009 Close up of passenger's side frame member.

#010 Driver's side frame member again.

#011 Passenger's side tire. Showing wear typically I've associated w/out of aligned front tires.

#012 Driver's side tire. Showing wear typically I've associated w/out of aligned front tires.

I'm looking at the 15x8 Canyon wheels to fit some 31" dura tracs. Will these be too narrow to fit properly on my 99 Cherokee? Not sure if most people run spacers. Might just order 4.5" backspaced wheels and call it a day..

30s or 31s with a 3" lift? That is my question for today. I am just wondering if the extra inch is worth the 40-50 bucks per tire.

I have 31s. I still rub a bit sometimes. I'd go with 30s

Depends, do you wheel or are you a pavement princess?

The wheels aren't too narrow, but you may get some rubbing on the LCAs due to the factory backspacing. May be able to get away with a set of spacers - just depends on how much you want the Canyons. If budget is what your priority is, then you are most likely better off just ordering a set of wheels with proper back spacing.

What width tire you want. 10.5/12.5 etc etc.

You can run up to a 12" wide on 8" wheels.... helps keep the bead on the rim when you air down without beadlocks. I may be mistaken, but I don't think that 31" Duratracs come in more than 10.5" wide anyway. So in any case, the wheels aren't too narrow.

Rule is you can run up to 4" wider than tire even though some people say they've done 12.5 on 7" rims. OP made a comment about to narrow, that's why I wanted to know what he thought was narrow.

Plus, 31s are better than 30s. Why only go up an 1" tire size, assuming you at a 29" right now. Do the 31s and if you rub, take the grinder out and have fun. Done. Done waste time on 30s

Bumpstop your axles like you're supposed to with oversized tires, and they won't rub
