So I have a 2000 Classic sitting on stock tires with 16 inch wheels, I also have a 2" space kit I have yet to put on. If I want to run 32's would I be able to run after market fenders, in place of trimming the fenders? Also I have a level kit on it I believe. And one last question, how had would after market fenders be to install?
Sorry for the newbie questions, very new to the jeep world.

33" tires willing to trim fenders...which lift kit?
2000 XJ Sport
Rust'ys 3" HD springs
Unknown rear lift (guessing add a leaf)
currently 235/75/15 BFG KO
Hi, I am going to 33" tires but want to keep the lift as low as possible.
I have the setup listed above but feel I need a better ride. I think the HD springs and factory control arms give a harsh ride.
I want the best ride I can get and do not mind piecing together a kit.
I was thinking RE springs front and rear new control arms but unsure of what else I will need and what height lift.
If I need to I will cut the fenders and add bushwackers, but not against keeping it as is with a little trimming.
The Jeep will not be in the Rocks and I am not impressed with how much flex it will have. I just want a decent comfort ride but will easily go off road in harsh conditions without scrubbing my tires.
Here is what the Jeep will be riding on:
33x10.5x15 BFG KO
HP30 front spartan locked 4.56 gear
8.25 Chrysler Spartan Locked 4.56 gear
Thank you

No, I don't lick fish.
haha... yeah, lots. That was the inspiration for pulling out the carpet. I already had a couple of holes in the floor from rust and bad door sills though.

Brand new here! Just got my hands on a 97 XJ country and I'm in the market for a lift. 4.5 rough country is certainly advertised to be a very nice kit, but just wanted to get a little feedback from the community on if it will fit my needs.
I want the 4.5 lift height, want to do some off roading (25%) and the rest (75%) around town and highway. I live in CT so sometimes jumping on the highway and heading north for the weekend for offroading will require a few hours on the interstate. I've saved up and want to do this right the first time. I want to install a SYE with the kit, and put a steering stabilizer in. Anything else I should install now, rather than break later?
Wheel's and tires, looking for max tire size without much rub, and a set of cheap 15 inch black wheels. what kinda of backspacing and tire size has been known to work with this lift? also any suggestions on good tires that have meat to them but arent horrible at 75mph? thanks everyone!

RC 4.5" leaf springs aren't a little on the short side. They're too short. Adding extended shackles to them will only make the problem worse and give you even more lift, which increases the need for an SYE.
If you decide to get a Rough Country lift, you might as well buy SRBs to install with it. Don't grace RC with more of your money to fix their known-bad parts; buy the ones from Froelich Suspension which are better quality and made by a company who cares about their customers.
As for wheels, you want 15x8 with 3.75-4" BS. 3.75" will sit out 1/4" father on each side. I don't recommend 3" BS because it'll wear out axle parts a lot faster. Summit Racing consistently has one if the lowest prices for 15" steel wheels, and they offer a few styles

6.5in leaf questions
I have a 4.5 in lift on Ricky now and its a add a leaf kit +ext shackles(and sagging so bad haha) ,, I got a set of 6.5 in rustys leafs that id like to run and I usually carry a lot of equipment with me wheeling and what not my question is how bad would the ride be if I ran with no shackles or stock size shackles? With all the weight im carrying do you think it will sit like a normal 4.5 or would I have to change out the front also? Sorry if the questions sound weird I just want to know before if it'll work decent?

To put this simply you have to run a shackle.... In your case the stock shackle should be fine. Now is the rusty's leafs 6.5 without the extended shackle? I would do it and try it out... If it sits to high you can possibly remove a leaf from it if it is a 5pack.

Have an '01 XJ that I'm looking to lift in the near future. I am leaning towards the Zone 3" full leaf pack kit with sway bar quick disconnects. I'm also doing my research early so I can get everything at once and not have to run around for parts while doing the lift. Here's what I have so far:
Zone 3" kit w/full leafs & quick disconnects- http://zoneoffroad.com/zone-offroad-...erokee/j21-j22
RE Front Adjustable Track Bar - http://www.jeep4x4center.com/front-a...ub-re1600.html
JKS Rear Shackles http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jks-fro...ks-ogs651.html
I also have extended brake lines from a buddy of mine who never used them from a 95 YJ that I'll be using & I've replaced my steering stabilizer recently so I won't be replacing that. So now... here are the questions:
Is a t-case drop completely necessary for doing a 3" lift? I've read that all builds are different and it might need to be done but it also might not be needed.

Tire Question...
Yeah, i understand that 99.9% of the focus in this thread is about lift kits, etc., but I have a non-off-road question...
I need a new, full set of tires for my 1990 Cherokee Base Model, 4WD manual. I need them as cheap as humanly possible and I need them with raised white lettering. (Blackwalls wouldn't cut it on my beat-up XJ.)
I'm not off-roading (I use the Jeep for my business, delivering antique furniture for my store -- yeah, I'm a tough guy) so I just need good, solid Freeway tires that run smoothly and, most of all, QUIETLY. I have a set of old Pep Boy FUTURA tires on there now and they've been okay but I have no idea how they match up to what else comparable is out there. (The FUTURAS were on the Jeep when I got it.)
Obviously, I need nothing above an R rating... Any suggestions from real world experience?
Thanks in advance.
CJ
