AWC Wagon Wheels. They stopped making them a while ago, but I got a killer deal. I couldn't believe I found the exact discontinued wheels I was looking for, for $100. They were $92/ea new when AWC sold them

Agreed. I wanted white wagon wheels on my red XJ, and I was gonna get red anodized lug nuts. I called it my Radio Flyer station wagon

Default 96 xj

I have a 3 inch skyjacker on it now but upgrading and going larger soon to 4.5 RC lower fixed control arms, quick disconnect sway bar, brake lines, Rubicon 4.5 springs and N2.0 shocks (all only for front nothing for rear yet). I will do shocks full 4.5 leaf packs hardware and adjustable shackles at a later time, the lift on the rear is good for now. My question is with going to a 4.5 from a 3 I have stock arms on now do I HAVE to change my uppers when I put everything in or can I still use the stock ones? And yes I am putting in a slip yolk eliminator after the install.

Thanks

I would recommend doing a 3.5" leaf pack and a 1" shackle. At 4.5" I would also recommend long arms. I'm running 3.5" lift and adjustable uppers and adjustable lowers and I want long arms to smooth out bumps. and I'm running RE springs and bilstein shocks

Eventually I will run adjustable uppers and lower control arms but I wanted to know with the 4.5 lift did I have to change out my stock uppers or can I ride with them for a little while?
p.s. I looked at your build and I am doing the same with this one I will post pics later

Not trying to be an ****, but why don't you just hold off till you can do it properly? Why do it twice? Anything over 3" requires serious mods to be done properly. Sure you could probably put 4.5" springs on stock arms and enjoy a ride comparable to that of a one horse wagon. If your cool with that go for it. Don't think I'm being a dick I know all to well what it feels like to want a lift but don't have the means to do it right away. I have been collecting parts for my lift for almost two years now, and the wait is driving me crazy. But when I do the install it will be done right and only once. Sorry for the long winded post, but thought I'd just throw my two Lincolns at you.

Thanks for the presidents and I know what you are saying and it does make sense. this is the first semi stock xj I have bought so still on the learning curve of add ons from stock to upgrades. I usually go to the desert oct-april then mountains from june-aug so I am always out using my rig. I bought this one with the intent of improvement and doesnt matter how long it takes but some of the trails I go on you need the added height so that is why I am asking if I can run a 4.5 with stock arms for now and end of season change them when I change shocks and get ready for mountains. I ride solo or with trucks not with other jeepers so thats why i am asking here. Thanks again

What area do you live in your wheeling venues sound a lot like mine here in Utah and I have not had any issues with 3.5" on 33's.
