Mine is going to be going full retard. 2 inches of lift and 37s is the goal.

Also Duratracs are Peak Snow rated winter tires. I wouldn't bother putting any other shoes on the XJ unless you are buying ice-specific tires like Michelin X-Ice.
Thanks for the response. Yeah I need to replace my rear leafs and my U-Joints but that's on the list of things to budget. I've been dumping most of my extra cash into keeping it running great, fluid changes, spark plugs, I did get new shocks last winter right before I did the budget boost.

It sounds like 235/75/15 is the right tire size until I replace the sagging springs. So I'll stick with my 225/75/15 winter tires until they wear out and upgrade to 235's after that...it just looks a little goofy with 225's and the budget boost that's all.

I know the Duratracs are snow rated but I'm personally terrified driving in snow with them. I've heard mixed reviews. I've been using Firestone Winterforce for Minnesota winters for the past two years. Last winter I took them off and we got 6'' of snow a couple days later and I was running the Duratracs. I was terrified driving, they were absolutely horrible compared to the dedicated winter tire. I'd take my old Goodyear Silent armors over the Duratracs in a snowy situation any day.

But thanks, just wanted to get the right size but since 225 to 235 isn't that huge of a difference I'll wear out my winterforces before I upgrade.

Default Metalcloak

I don't see too much talk about this company on the forums, but found out about them through some post. Anyone have experience with their XJ kit or any of their products for that matter? Any comments on the Duraflex joints?
Appears to be a interesting alternative to DPG's kits. Slightly more expensive but includes LCAs and UCAs. Nothing against DPG, as I have no experience with them, but the presentation on Metalcloaks' website is very nice. I sent Metalcloak a question on Sat. night and they replied within the hour. Pretty good first impression.

Metalcloak is a damn good company, but their prices show it. They're big in the Wrangler community for their fenders, and I've only heard good things about their suspension. I was just looking at that XJ kit the other day

Metalcloak is innovative.
One item they make is 'dual-rate' coil springs. Great for crawlers that use a lot of droop. Helps keep the coils seated.
Try the Wragler forums for review. Us XJ guys do not like to spend that kind of coin.

Dual rate is a new term form progressive rate the rate changes as it compresses. Not many wrangler guys run their suspension.

Dual rate isn't the same as progressive rate. Each spring has two sections, and each section has a different spring rate. True, not a lot of people run their suspension, but everyone who has it recommend it

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a kit from them if I had the money

Several guys in my club recommend the MC springs. They all love them for their 4 dr heavy rock limo JKU's.

Default Dual-Rate Coils

It would be like running a spacer, that expands at droop to keep th spring seated.
